Hammarö Energi is the energy, waste, and recycling company owned by the residents of Hammarö! We work every day to responsibly deliver a secure heating solution for those living in Hammarö, today and in the future, as well as to ensure that the residents can dispose of their waste in an environmentally friendly manner. Hammarö Energi AB is a wholly owned municipal company. We started our operations in 1984 by delivering district heating, and today, 40 years later, we have over 1,250 district heating customers. From 2023, waste management was transferred from the municipality to the company, and we are now responsible for the collection of food and residual waste from households and businesses, collection of sludge from septic tanks, collection of packaging waste, and collection of bulky waste via our recycling center.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a recycling worker at the recycling center, you are the face of our operations. You will come into daily contact with our customers in your work, and your task is to guide customers to have a positive experience when they visit the recycling center.

In the role of recycling worker at Hammarö Recycling Center, you will work in a team where cooperation, environmental benefit, and service are three of the most important guiding principles of the operation.

The team's tasks include:

• helping and informing customers about where to dispose of their various waste fractions and ensuring that the fractions end up in the right containers.
• keeping the recycling center clean and tidy.
• assisting with ongoing operations, maintenance, and upkeep of the facility.
• operating wheel loaders and assisting with snow removal.

We consider it an advantage if you have:

• previous experience working at a recycling center

The work is conducted outdoors according to a schedule, Monday to Saturday. The position also includes some administrative tasks. Evening work may occur.

The position is full-time, permanent employment.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is engaged, punctual, and has a genuine interest in the environment. You have good teamwork skills, a high sense of service, and enjoy meeting people, as customer contact is a significant and important part of the job. As a recycling worker, you are one of the company's faces and contribute directly to a safe, secure, and pleasant environment for our visitors.

We believe you thrive in a dynamic outdoor job and are motivated to work in a customer-oriented manner. You can work independently and take your own initiatives, but you also value collaborating and communicating with the team. Familiarity with computers and knowledge of the Office suite is a prerequisite for the job.

To perform the tasks safely and effectively, good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is required, as you will communicate daily with visitors and colleagues and follow safety regulations to ensure safety in the workplace.

You must have a B driver's license and a C2 qualification for wheel loaders.
